Woohoo! I found out that my host family is nice enough to let me use their computer with internet connection, and my sister Ali is working on a talk for tomorrow's retreat, so now I can catch up a bit with you all!! =)
Okay, some team stats... we have * 6 gals and 5 guys on our team * we call each other brothers and sisters b/c that's what we are... brothers and sisters in Christ!! * 3 are from Texas (Lauren, Javier, Chris), 3 from cali ( Ali, Phil, & me- i'm not an oregonian yet!), 1 from Indiana (Corinne), 1 from Virginia (Kristin), 1 from Ohio (Dan), 1 from Kansas (Meghan), and 1 from Canada (Simon)!! Everyone is awesome! I'm still really trying to get to know them all, we haven't had too much time together team bonding, but it'll come soon!!
We actually hit the road this Sunday!! Our first out of two "big" road trips! Alright! Another fun thing that we do as a team or as brothers or sisters or individually is honoring each other! It's basically like doing random acts of kindness, but now it's more directed just to our team! So the guys honored us the other day after team prayer by singing us a song and praying over us! It was incredible!! =) So to honor them back, we bought them all their favorite candies, and made them name poems/affirmations, and sent them on a mini scavenger hunt!! BUT, at the end of their search we put their candy in a box and tapped it up nice and tight, so when they were opening it we ran up behind them with silly string and got them good!! =) Fun times fun times!!
